Cable Laying Method - Configuration Dialog

This dialog is displayed whenever you need to define a Cable Laying Method for a raceway systems. It is accessed from either of the following locations:

The default cable laying method is Multi layer method. This dialog allows you to define overrides which can be applied during the cable routing process.

Add Click to add a new Cable Fill method. The new method will available to be selected when defining raceway systems. Click in the name value field to type in a more descriptive name if desired. Once a new method has been defined and saved, the only editable fields will be the Parameter fields.
Delete Deletes the currently selected overwrite record.
Cable Method Properties Expand the arrow next to the Name field expand the properties for each cable laying method type as shown above. For the standard existing methods, such as Multi-layer, Triangular etc., only the Parameter fields are editable. The value for the parameter fields can be modified in this dialog. The descriptions for the parameter fields are defined in the SPEC_CableFill.xml file and vary from method to method. This file is located in the following directory:

The NEC Rules methods, such as the NEC Rules Single Cable method expanded in the dialog above, use lookup tables for the routing rules which are defined in the following xml files:

Refer to these files for descriptions for the cable laying parameters.

OK Saves the changes and closes the dialog.
Cancel Closes the dialog without saving the changes.
